Ashton Everett

Born and raised in Burns Lake, BC Ashton started riding at age 10 with various local trainers and participating in small shows and local horseback riding events. She continued to ride ponies and horses throughout her school years and worked at hometown local barns.  Following completion of high school, she moved to Calgary to begin her equine career as a groom at Stone Ridge Farms.

As a groom for Bretton Chad, Ashton ensures every horse in her charge, from ponies through to grand prix level horses, gets the best possible care and attention that is needed to stay on top of their game.  Additionally, she plays a valuable role with administration and organizing logistics for her rider and horses to attend shows throughout Canada, USA and Europe.

Alongside Bretton, Ashton has played an important role supporting her from junior jumper through to the Grand Prix level, including Spruce Meadows and Young Rider Nations Cup Tournaments in both North America and Europe.  Watching the Chads compete and achieve their tremendous success makes her very proud.  Additionally, Ashton is a true horse-lover and appreciates the connections made with the horses walking down the barn aisle seeing the horses nicker at you and their ears perk up make it so worth it!
